From large conservation projects to spring clean-ups and education programs, you can support the North Dakota Petroleum Foundation with your time, supplies and equipment. We need volunteers and in-kind support for various events and programs throughout the year. Volunteer to help at any of the events listed below and check in with your company for employee match opportunities and make your hard work go even further!

Pick Up the Patch – Stanley

Spring is here and, in an effort, to keep our Community an attractive place to live we are inviting you to participate in this years Pick Up the Patch! This year’s event will take place Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 9:00 am. We are asking companies, organizations and individuals to help pick up trash along local roadways.

We will start off the morning by meeting at Mountrail Williams Electric Cooperative, Stanley, ND where you will be assigned a pick-up zone. This year’s focus will be along U.S. Highway #2. If you are participating and focusing on an area other than U.S. Highway #2, please let us know.

Mountrail Williams Electric Coop. & American Bank Center will provide bags for the trash along with beverages and gloves if needed, but individuals are encouraged to bring gloves and wear brightly colored clothing.

Teacher Seminar

The North Dakota Petroleum Foundation hosts this seminar for educators to learn about the oil industry and take projects, lessons, and ideas back to the classroom. The seminar also helps educations translate to their students geography, math, chemistry, geometry, etc. tie into the oil and gas industry and careers.

Bakken Rocks CookFest | Bowman, ND

The 11th Annual Bakken Rocks CookFest will be held in Bowman on Tuesday, July 16. This fun event is free and open to the public. Come and join us for free BBQ, vote on your favorite Cook Team, listen to live music, and visit our information booths. There are also activities and games for kids.

Several volunteers are needed throughout the event. If you are interested in any of the activities below, please contact Tessa Sandstrom at tsandstrom@ndoil.org.

12-2 p.m. MT - Set-up (help with tent, set up tables and chairs, etc.)

4-7 p.m. MT - Maintenance (emptying garbage cans, filling ice and water, clearing tables, etc.)

7-8 p.m. MT - Clean-up (take down tent, move tables and chairs, clean area, etc.)
