Mule Deer Foundation Habitat Improvement Project

The North Dakota Petroleum Foundation is partnering with the Mule Deer Foundation to improve habitat on a private ranch north of Medora. We will be holding an industry workday and are seeking volunteers and in-kind use of equipment for the project on August 22.

 

WHAT:

Mule Deer Foundation Habitat Project

About 12 volunteers are needed to help pull fence:

3-4 to work the fence bailer;

1-2 to pull fence posts;

6-8 to pull the wire off the posts.

 

Equipment needed includes three skid steers for the bailer and pulling fence posts; UTVs or ATVs, fencing pliers, and work gloves.

 

WHEN:  Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 7 a.m. to completion (12 p.m. if we can get at least 12 volunteers)

Lunch will be provided for all volunteers

 

OTHER ITEMS NEEDED:

Water, Gatorade, ice;

Breakfast items such as donuts, rolls, muffins and coffee
